My husband and I are both music lovers. Since my hubby is more techie than I am, he is my one source of knowledge when it comes to tomorrow’s gadgets. I must say that I got a little confused with so many different companies launching and re-launching varities of music player in the market Scrutinizing the specs and its functionalities, Apple iPod is still the best and most popular available to date. Though the old classic iPod may not look as lovely as compared to the new designs and models which is being released every now and then.
I have to be contented with what I have because it would cost me too much if I keep up with the technologies that are wired for tomorrow. I just want to share with other people on how they can best enhance and maximize the use of their old iPods. With this type of application, you can copy music off an iPod and turn it into an information repository. Although this comes with a fee, it will help you realize the full potential of your iPod like transferring all kinds of data to your iPod. This includes driving directions, contacts, appointments, email, notes, tasks, news, weather, horoscopes, showtimes, gas prices and more.
iDump
You can connect your iPod and iDump will allow you to transfer your songs off your iPod to a PC. It does come wrapped in installer but you can simply drop the .exe in the root directory on your iPod and run it from there.
You’ll have access to all your songs; can transfer the songs you want to put in a certain directory; can manage your songs by renaming it.
Canto Pod
There are times when you want to sing along but cannot understand the words because of the accent or because of the mumblings. This utility helps you search for thousands of song lyrics online and download them on the iPod. Another good thing about this is that this comes for free!
