TV Cartoons have evolved from Classic to Anime. My husband and my husband’s niece enjoy very much this type of cartoons that has been aired in TV. One anime cartoon that I know they love is entitled the DeathNote which I heard will soon make its way to theaters US wide for two days only. Avid fans will have a chance to see it in the big screen on May 20 and 21st at 7:30pm.
Now for parents who want to know what this DeathNote is all about, it is based on the hit supernatural action-mystery manga. It tells the story of Light Yagami, an ace student who finds the DeathNote, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death God named Ryuk. Light recognized the power that the notebook has. Any name written in the notebook dies. Upon knowing this, Light has made it his goal to use its power to get rid of the evil forces in the world.
Whenever I watch something of this kind, a thought always pops in my head. If I am going to have a supernatural power, I’d like to have a mind-reading power so I can anticipate things and never be caught unprepared or off-guard.
Going back to DeathNote, I understand that it is an exclusive event that will have a special 20-minute presentation on how the popular manga translates to live action. It will also feature one of my favorite band’s hit theme song “Dani California” by none other than - the Red Hot Chili Peppers!
You can buy your tickets by going to the DeathNote site and entering your zip code in the search feature. Just a piece of advise, get your tickets early because slots are limited!
