In the arms of a lullabye

In the wee small hours of the morning, i stare at the ceiling...trying to sleep off the confusion. I toss and turn to find the right spot to rest my weary soul but with no luck. If only I was lying under the stars, I may have witness the conversation of the sparkling moon and glimmering stars. I may have seen so many shooting stars that compliments the serene sky.
At the crack of dawn, the screaming sun slowly makes its way behind the clouds. I psyche up my body and drag myself to the so-called busy hours of the day. And as I drove down the road, I ponder on things that lies ahead of me. To keep me awake and alert, i plug my i-pod. To keep my brain running, i puff the blues away.
I spend the longest hours of my day sitting and waiting for a buzz. I always look forward to a blinking tab because it brightens up my spirit and lessens the immense boredom of paperworks. For as long as the blinking keeps going on, I discover new things about me and it also builds up a greater height of madness.
Time ticks off and when darkness comes creeping in, I feel the surge of separation anxiety. To not know what to do ... I feel empty. Deprive of 'the moments', I long for the chance to grasp the innermost thoughts...reveal and renew the deepest darkest furtive...to sleep in the arms of a lullabye.

A calculator for a poker? A win-win strategy!

Just recently I chanced upon the World Poker Tournament and to my surprise I enjoyed watching the game. At first, I didn’t quite understand the mechanics of the game until a friend of mine explained to me that the concept is much like “tong-its” (a Filipino-poker style). I was really astonished at how people would bluff and risk their money at hand just to push their luck. I was thinking what are the odds and probability that you get a really good shot with your cards. Astoundingly, there is a way to determine the luck of your cards.

Do you know that there is a freeware called Texas Holdem Poker Strategy Calculator that automatically analyzes your cards and your opponent's moves while you play. Furthermore, it gives you abundant information and precise poker strategy advice in real time based on exact odds calculation. Now, how cool is that!

In addition, the Free Texas Holdem Poker Strategy Calculator lets you choose your style of play. You know what they say - different styles for different folks. You can be tight, loose, passive, aggressive, all in an intuitive and user friendly interface which blends into the natural environment of the online poker room.

This may be a sponsored post but there is nothing wrong in downloading the Free Texas Holdem Poker Strategy Calculator. As I've mentioned, it is FREE. For beginners, you may want to try it. Nothing can stop you from learning and playing like a PRO with the Holdem Radar.

Coming soon....

I thought this time I will never get excited anymore. I thought I've seen it all, heard it all, felt it all. But I was wrong. I came from my OB-Gyne earlier today to have my soooooo delayed monthly check-up. The secretary counted and I was a month delayed visiting my OB. Anyway, I know that this visit would mean just the usual check-up plus I will have to listen to my child's heartbeat.

So I just lay down while my OB measures my tummy. She said the size of the baby was just right for my term. Then she rub some gel in my tummy and placed the device while it was locating for my baby. It took a while before I heard the heartbeat. While she was looking, I thought I'd just feel the same because I already had two kids. But when I heard the lab dab beating soooooo fast, I felt different. I felt elated. It was like I was hearing that sound for the first time. My OB said "active na active ha". I guess I just realized that every child or person is unique and that the experience with them is also unique even before they are born.

Freewill.....caught up in the running wheel....

Freewill is one of the most important gift that GOD has ever given to mankind. It is a philosophical doctrine that gives us the freedom to choose between right or wrong, good or bad, left or right, up or down....all of it are left ultimately to ourselves. Whatever the situation is, whoever we are, we are all given the same freewill. In whatever case it is, we always are presented with options. What makes everything difficult for us are not the options itself but the process of choosing which one to take without ever having the feeling of guilt once we decided to take it.
Most of the time, we choose the things that we think and feel best serves our needs. Sometimes we opt to take the easy way for our own convenience. At times, we give in to an alternative which would set us free from the burden of selfishness that would entail sacrificing your own happiness.
We have created our own standards just like society has identified and dictated our culture and norms whereby those who deviate from such would be labeled as a 'violator', 'offender', 'criminal' or 'sinner'. The pros and cons of each and every choices that we have must be carefully weighed whenever we are in a state of dilemma.
There are moments when the answer is simply in front of us. We can find all the reasons to go on and pick the most visible, viable, and logical choice. An option that makes more sense...that outweighs all others. As such, we are relieved from the tension, confusion and stress of choosing. This scenario is effortless because it just merely let one distinguish the fact from fiction...truth from comfort...knowledge and enlightenment as oppose to ignorance and bliss.
On the other hand, a situation calls for a more in-depth analysis of the outcomes rather than scrutinizing the choices itself. These are the most challenging tasks that we have to face and live by. It is our innermost beliefs, credo or philosophies in life that are at stake ... that plays along against our deeper most desires, interests, pleasures. So which one prevails? The former makes you as the sacrificial lamb...surrendering the other side of your profound happiness. Somehow, the latter gives you sort of a short-lived sense of wholeness. Whichever you choose to serve, you should take into account that there are always strings attached to every decision you make. You may pull the string towards you or you may toss it away from you but always bear in mind that at the other end of the string is something or someone waiting for something to happen..............

Paul McMann...you're the man!

After a long time of getting an opportunity in PayPerPost (PPP), I got really excited when I saw this one available opportunity turned green. So I immediately grabbed the chance. However, when I looked at the topic I saw that it was all about Paul McMann. I then said to myself, who is Paul McMann? Although this is a sponsored post, I know that this man has made something good for the society, otherwise, no one would even bother advertise him. So let me throw in some bits of information about this man.

Jack of all trades that is Paul McMann. When you search his name, one might wonder who is this guy? His name will pop-up and is associated with different kinds of business. Paul McMann has made a name for himself from being a real state developer, a financial services sales representative, college professor, and a Collegiate Professional Basketball League (CPBL).
He had also published number of academic articles and one of them is entitled, "You May Need New Performance Measures When”. This article is co-authored by Joseph M. Orlando which appeared in the Journal of Strategic Performance Measurement.
Following his passion and interests for basketball while using his entrepreneurial skills, he has made waves in college basketball. As mentioned earlier, his love for basketball has paved the way for the CPBL. It is a league that has a double purpose in which it recruits high school basketball players to play ball as well as help these players make it through college. He envisions helping people by making their dreams come true and at the same time help the kids have a free education and a paycheck.
He has never stopped doing something for others which in turn has made him who he is right now. As featured on CNN, there is a nice excerpt from the Wall Street Journal in regards to the league.
“Nearly 65% of teens believe they can make it to the pro levels. The fact is only 1% of those make it to the college level of division I. In the CPBL, a 22 year old who is beginning to realize he has no career in hoops will still have the wherewithal to get himself a real degree.

The virtue of Paul McMann’s operation is that it gives a piece of the action to the players that help created it, along with an academic plan more suited to reality.”

Like most famous and successful people, Paul McMann’s stature did not have a smooth sailing ride when he was crossing the river. He has also created noise in the society before. His name reverberated, he was scandalize and became infamous with some anonymous defamatory statements. He filed a lawsuit against this certain John Doe but the Federal Court denied his ex parte application for leave to serve subpoenas to obtain the identity of the anonymous speaker who allegedly posted defamatory statements about him online.

While trying to scout for more information and some updates, I learned that his current endeavor is being a member of the Commonwealth Advisors Group, LLC. This move has recently made him an achievement by being named as an affiliate with Blue Coast Financial Group. This attainment gives him the opportunity to work with Blue Cost as a workers compensation and electricity deregulation financial advisor. It will be his task to analyze data to find a way to save the companies money being lost to policy errors and miscalculations. And as an electricity deregulation adviser, he is in charge in finding a solution to the companies skyrocketing energy costs.
Paul McMann now focuses his energies on real estate development in and around the MetroWest Massachusetts area. He still writes for various publications, credited as Paul McMann or Paul J. McMann.

Indeed, you can't put a good old man down. So to Paul McMann, rock on because "You're the man"!

The one that got away

I rarely read forwarded messages in my inbox. I usually trash them because they clogged up my space. I only browse the ones that are worth reading...and sometime 2 weeks ago something caught my eye. It was an essay entitled "the one that got away." It was an interesting essay and it talks about some things or people whom we let go and later realize that they are important to us....they are the ONE. I am sure that most of my friends can relate to this line "it is never good to hold on and live to the what-could-have-been" tag. Sometimes there are things or decisions that we have to make and live by it. We maybe immature and not yet ready when we do those mistakes but there's always a way to make up for it. We can only do so much and say "I am sorry for that one that got away"......
It is a reality of life and it is much easier to put every thoughts in writing than simply follow the golden rules of life. When we are in faced in that kind of situation we seem to hear only what our heart is saying. Nevertheless, it is always up to us to just leave a broken piece of us on the ground and travel the road with a hole and sore heart and then look back and say "the rest is history".......or we can pull back ourselves together and find a way to tell the next person that you'll meet "you're the one that almost got away".

Reminiscing West Side Story

American Idol season 7 sings Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber's compositions. The instant I heard his name, my mind flew back to Metropolitan Theater. We were performing West Side Story. It is a story about a gang war between the Americans (The Jets) and the Puerto Ricans (The Sharks). It is also the modern day version of Romeo and Juliet at that time. Tony and Maria belonging to opposing sides fell in love and was caught in the middle.

The songs and the dance was way almost a century ago but the memories keep flooding on. From the time of the audition days down to our repeat performance at the QC circle. It was one of those moments that I know I had so much fun!

SocialSpark is your new social network community

While others go to Spa, I do some blogging because this way I get relaxed. I enjoy blogging and it has become a hobby and a passion of mine. So before I go to sleep I make it a point that I get to write whatever it is that I like to express or unload. I got more interested when I joined PayPerPost. This was followed by joining SocialSpark. So how do you join? Just register, describe and submit your blog. After a day, you will receive a notification if your blog is approved or not approved.

Smart Fun Familia

Summer is swimming. Kids enjoy swimming. It is the time of the year when people go to the beaches or resorts to have some family bonding and to relax. Smart's commitment to their employees include giving them a day to enjoy their family by renting a resort and making it exclusive for the employees and their family.

I know my kids had a great time because I can see it in their face. There's no greater joy in seeing the smiles in their faces. Thank you Smart for making it every year a Fun Familia day!

Keep the energy going!

Even before I was single, I already promised myself that when I have my own kids, I’ll be a cool mom. So my way of being cool and being close to my kids is to have time to play with them.
At this time and age, Atari and Playstations are already passé. I have to know the latest craze and be updated with the latest technologies so I can talk the same lingo that my kids do.
I then saw this opportunity and joined the You Make My Energy Pop Contest. In joining this contest, I can win the Xbox 360 Elite Bundle, $100 Gift Certificate, and a 12-pack of MAXXED Energy Pops. Isn’t it great?! Fascinatingly, if you have a blog, you can participate in the contest and join the Keep-Going-Sweepstakes where they can also win an Xbox 360 Elite Bundle.
All parents will agree with me that one need lots of energy when they play with their kids. Especially with my routine, I really need to store lots of energy because before I put my kids into bed I make sure that I spend quality time with them. It is only when they are asleep that I get to do my own thing – blogging. So for you readers out there, you might want to help me by clicking through my Energy meter to give me lots of energy. I will be needing them to keep the energy pumping in my veins.

No longer caught in the middle

Into the light, it's hard to believe. It's always been ours to give and to receive. I want to be shameless like the sun moving into you ... entering light. After a storm, I wanna let go of the things that I’ve done. Without any worry, I wanna come home...into the light...into the unknown. I want to be shameless like the sun moving into you. But it's all a fantasy, a dream, a wish....tired of being caught in the middle.
Someday, somewhere....when the horizon is clear...where the rainbow shines all the time...where i don't play somewhere in the middle...when i am no longer caught in the middle.....

Dizzzy...sleepy.....

Woohoo!!!Was able to get lot of opps for this day. I am thrilled because this is the first night that I only took a peek in SocialSpark. I was not really hoping for something. I guess it is just a habit of mine that when I turn on my PC, I automatically open PPP or SocialSpark. To my surprise, when I click on an opportunity I saw the take-this-opportunity tab. So I hurriedly click it and grab every opportunity I can get. I just hope it gets approved! Oh God, I feel dizzy and I feel like puking! I think it says enough already. Have to sign off because I still have a big day ahead of me later today!!!!Ciao everybody!

You fly

Stuck in a traffic. Lean back your head and turn up the volume. Surrender to the melody...keep your hands off the steering and tap your fingers to the beat...and sing with all your heart pouring in. Then you watch the cars pass by...people walking in front of you...waiting for the go sign.
Then something just slips your mind. Sometimes we are so used to things being one way like being in love. We can't even think about it of being any other way...it's terrifying. We bend our idea of what love is even if it feels wrong just to keep things from changing.
Suddenly, you are brought back to the road. The car behind awakens you with its irritating and continuous honking. Then you say to yourself "You fly".

Lets get physical with Cellerciser

Do you know of a perfect exercise? I am not sure I can think of an answer to that question? Oh but wait, Cellerciser has a great answer to that question. For those who have been wanting to trim their fats out and be fit without going to the gym and sweating it out, you should try the Cellerciser rebounder. It may sound too good to be true but it is true and it redefines exercise to something more fun and easy.

Sometimes when we think of exercise, it would mean getting to the gym and picking up weights, doing some crunches, running the treadmill which at first is fun but after a while it gets boring. Some trivia had it that rebounding is the most effective and efficient exercise devised by man. It does not only shed off your ding pounds, build your muscle, strengthen your bones and tone your body but it also improves your immune system and overall health of your body.

Cellercise is a fun activity for all ages. It is an exercise equipment built with only the best piece which certainly makes it the finest rebounder/ mini-trampoline in the world. Go buy now and don't miss out on this unique opportunity. Look good and feel good.

Spell your summer with ABC

4 days and 3 nights. The longest vacation I had since I was with the Company. So how do I spell my summer? Let me spell it out for you....

A is for Amorita Resort. A cool and lovely place to stay in and relax while you spend your 2 nights and 2 days in Panglao island. The scenery is great especially at night. The hotel is uphill and you can see the calm beach as it peacefully let its waves flow back and forth the shore. The food is generally ok. The service and accommodation are excellent! They have this free massage for those who are staying there. Lucky me because I was able to avail 2 sessions (the regular rate of which is P600). On our first day, we enjoyed the pool the whole afternoon and sang away the night with our usual videoke and tequila escapade. We had one function room reserved for us until 12mn and continued the drinky-drinky session at one of the rooms. The fun games were held on the afternoon of the 2nd day. The dinner/fellowship night was set with a Luau theme. I had so much fun during my stay there. It sure got me to relax and roar with laughter.

B is for Bohol tour. After our stint in Amorita, we wandered around Bohol and visited the famous tourist spots. First stop - Chocolate hills. Can you believe I made the 100+ steps to get to the top just to see the breathtaking view and had our cutie and wacky pictures in front of those famous Chocolate hills? We were suppose to have lunch at the Loboc River Cruise but we missed it. Anyway, we stepped down in the man-made forest and had another picture taking. The view was fantastic that you would think you are in some kind of wonderland. Then off to the tarsiers. Those small wide-eyed creature had my sympathy as they looked tired and sad hanging in the tree. I pity them because their forlorn face seems like they were asking people to stop taking pictures so that they can have their own peaceful and private life. After our encounter with the tarsiers, we crossed the not so seemingly scary hanging bridge. We didnt know that one of our friends have a fear of height. His funny story was that while he was scarily holding tight to both ends of the bridge, this one Korean guy shakes the bridge and taunts him. He then said "Don't do it, I'll die" LOL. We finally had our lunch at the Prawn Farm, ICM Mall. Yummy! We bought some pasalubongs afterwhich we scouted the streets to look for a hotel to stay in for the night. We stayed at the Chriscent hotel. Jampacked in one room, we unpacked our luggages and headed back to the mall for the continuation of our shopping and to grab some dinner. Just to spent the remaining night away, again we had videoke at the hotel.

C is for Cebu. Oh I hate this place. Though I have no choice, the group decided to depart from Cebu. We left Tagbilaran, Bohol at around 10am. Aboard the SuperCat, I get to reminisce some things 15 years ago (from the ferry to our stay in Cebu). Sometimes in life, there are some things that you would want to forget and one of them was my trip to Cebu. Although some wouldn't totally be erased, I would have some new memories that I can keep when I think of Cebu. Eventhough we had no time to tour around the place (not that there is much to be seen there) I guess what made it more exciting and interesting for me was that I spent that day with him. These are the days that I truly treasure the most because they rarely come.

So there it is summer is spelled as ABC. How about you? How do you spell your summer?

A drop on a petal

A drop on a petal
A scent that lingers
The nose smells what settles
The mind remembers forever

A drop on a petal
Saved in a bottle
A whiff so lovely
That spells miyake

Strawberry & cream
A taste so lip-smacking
You fulfill my dream
You are my everything

Strawberry & cream
Wrapped with a stick
Our lips gleam
Our knees get weak

A drop on a petal
may fade away but will leave a trail
of miniscule time
in a stuck room

Strawberry and cream
Will not last that long but it will leave a trace
of borrowed time
with an endless bliss

Just thinking out loud

I am drowned in my own thoughts. Thoughts that seem to clog my clear thinking. A black hole in the universe. A deep thinking that wonders if everything that happens is by what they call nature's biggest joke to humankind - 'serendipity'.
I try to seek solace in the stillness of the world...of the deafening silence...I struggle not to hold on to the agonizing pain that the memories bring along. For the moment, I have found my innermost peace through the stream that flows from my misty eyes. I continue to exist with time standing still while the earth spins around.
Reality bites and oh it stings. For whatever reason and moral upstanding that is laid down before me, I somehow cannot comprehend why some things have to be that way. In any other circumstances, I would be like any other human being trying to do what is just and right. Perhaps there is really a crossroad where you must choose your fate and endure the long, bumpy and winding road. While some people follow what they think is right, I did what I feel is good. But then everything comes with a tag... a tag branded with complication. That is when you think things over and somewhere along that line comes the i-should-have-done-the-right thing part. No matter how bad things turn out to be the simple question that perturbs me most - Should I stay or should I go?
Staying would really feel good but until when? While choosing to forego everything would make things different ... a lot different...a lot harder...and you should never expect things to be the same again.

Mummy, Mummy, Mummy, Mummy, Mummy

Mummified Times Five a catchy cool title for a blog. The blog is all about mommy-ish blogs. It talks about how a stay-home mom lives her life on a day-to-day basis.

More interestingly, it encourages housewives to embark on a different activity other than the usual wifey and mummy. Most of them shares the same sentiment after being a housewife for five years or so. They say that they get bored with the routinary household chores and that they need some change in their lives to revive the once energetic and bubbly person that they were.

For those who are tech savvy or for moms who know the basic in internet and makes writing as a tool for relaxation, they can set-up and make their own blogs. For those who are more of readers rather than writers, they may visit Mummified Times Five and may learn and enjoy from it. Happy blogging to all mommies!

Quips and cranks yet your blog is spank!

Since I joined PPP, I've been trying my best to get my posts to be indexed. I've done some research and have tried all their tips and advises but with no luck.

Everytime I tried to submit a post to this blog advertising network my blog has been always been declined because my page has not enough index and I have 0 Google Page Rank.

I tried to fix these errors and Im pretty confident that somehow I make sense in whatever I blog. I am not quite sure how and what I should do anymore. I think Google should give bloggers a feedback on the status of the page rank and what they need to do to increase or improve their ranks.

Of course, your blogs or posts are reflection of how creative, how imaginative and how witty a person is. They are what they write. Sometimes their personalities are being expresses through writing because they are most comfortable in that manner. You squeeze out whatever quips and cranks you have been long hiding yet at the end of the day Google spanks your blog!

Then after sometime I saw this opportunity about IZEA.com. I tried to look into the site to see what it offers. I joined to see how it works. After a day of registering my blogs, I already had a rank of how my blogs are doing. It is so cool because you get to have a meter that measures the real rank of your blogs. This way you know where you stand and how much far you are in the race.
George Bernard Shaw once wrote "There are two tragedies in life : One is losing your heart's desire, the other is gaining it."
Which do you think is more tragic...more cruel? I'd say the latter. If gaining then losing is more tragic, then give me tragedy. But the finest times of our lives is in experiencing the so-called tragedy because it is in those times that you are simply enthralled by memories while you wallow with pain...Oh, the oxymoron of life! Nothing ever comes without a price tag...so unleash the chains and pay the price if its worth every single painless torture then tell me the same..."I wouldn't give back the world what i had with you".

Never asked.....

Never asked for this feeling
didn't quite understand a thing.
Why did I ever let my emotions
get hold everything of me?

Never wished for the time
didn't know was running to a crime.
Why did I kept counting
the hours of uncertainties?

Do I ever cross your mind?
Are we still on the same page?
Should the days be rewind
and let the cup of wine turn to old age?

Never asked for the sweet things
Didn't think I'll be blushing.
Why have I not known
that in time it'll turn into tears?

Never wished for the promises
Didn't know would melt my heart into pieces.
Why I am still holding on
to where I no longer belong?

I miss you so much...
Was it really loved that I felt?
I long for your touch...
or was I just someone who kept your secrets?
