You call them ... MARSkey

It is a good thing we have museums that preserves the world’s historic, valuable, unique and odd items. Now the mini-museum of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation holds the most famous, intriguing and hot item that can be displayed. It boasts of possessing what they claim to be from the other world creature such as the monkey from Mars.

Fascinating items that are currently being displayed in the forensic science of the bureau's state crime lab lobby includes an illegal moonshine still and the microscopic fibers that solved the 1981-82 Atlanta child murders. The preserved remains of the MARSkey are tucked away in a glass cylinder.

It was the height of UFO hysteria that was sweeping the nation when three prankster performed a UFO hoax. The two young barbers and a butcher took a dead monkey, lopped off its tail and applied a liberal dose of hair remover and some green coloring to the carcass which they thought would passed off as an alien.

To complete their alien hoax, they left the primate on an isolated road north of Atlanta in the pre-dawn hours of July 8, 1953. They burned a circle into the pavement with a blowtorch before a police officer came around the curve in his patrol car.

The three men recounted their fib story to the policeman saying that they came upon a red, saucer-shaped object in the road that night. They also added that there were several 2-foot-tall creatures that were scurrying about. And to make their story more authentic, they said that the highway was left scorched because they hit one with their pickup before the creatures jumped back in the saucer and blasted skyward.

Brown took down the strange account and filed a report at police headquarters before going home. It sure did spread like wildfire because as soon as Brown’s shift ended, his phone started ringing off the hook with everybody else trying to find out about it.

The creature was examined that evening by Dr. Herman D. Jones (the founder and director of the GBI lab) and Dr. Marion Hines (an anatomy professor at Emory University). They proclaimed it to be a hoax. Until now, it is not clear where the men got the monkey. However, they eventually admitted to the prank and were charged with a $40 fine for obstructing a highway.

The Hercules

Ever since we were boyfriend-girlfriend, I know that he is someone who will forever be young at heart. He is a certified music lover, passionate with video games, updated with different consoles, and a techie-lover!

I am lucky because he can play and be in tune with my daughter's hobbies and playful moods. I know that I will never understand his enthusiasts with the games that he have been playing (i.e. magic cards, network games, dungeon and dragon board games, catapult board games and there are more in the list).

Now I am saving up for something that he is eyeing for - the Hercules. No it's not the Roman God. Neither it is the Disney character or figurine. Hercules is a unique DJ Console Mk2. It is a revolutionary complete portable DJ controller, Mixer and USB audio interface for desktop/laptop PCs.

In his younger years, he used to be a DJ and he had made some money out of it by playing on parties and bars. Growing competition made him set aside his hobby. As the years passed by so with his equipment that he used to play with. Inspired by my brother who plays in hotels and who enjoys a lot with his JLB mixer, he drools out for this Hercules thing.

I got curious and bean researching what he constantly talks about. Internet articles states that the Hercules DJ Console Mk2 is perfect for digital DJs and has been labeled the next generation award winning DJ Console.

What are its features? It is compact and portable, a dual-deck controller with integrated audio for mixing MP3s, WAVs, WMA etc on a PC. A major new feature of the DJ Console Mk2 is the ability to connect up to two external analogue devices such as vinyl turntables, CD players or MP3 players - Multiplying the possibilities for DJs to master the art of MP3 mixing while also integrating the analogue equipment used by DJs.

Another good deal about it is that it is ideal to use with all of the latest music and audio applications including: Image Line FL Studio (Fruityloops), Cakewalk SONAR, Cakewalk Pro Audio, Guitar Tracks Pro, Home Studio, Steinberg Cubase VST, Cubase SX, Cubase SL, Cubase SE, Nuendo, Wavelab, Adobe Audition, Syntrillium Cool Edit Pro, Cool Edit Pro 2, Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, Acid, Samplitude, Propellerheads Reason, Ableton Live, and other music software.

Let us make a walk to remember

When I was young, I remember my granny who was diagnosed to have an Alzheimer’s disease. At first, I didn’t understand what it was but I knew then that something was wrong. She was my favorite granny and it took me a while to grasp the concept of what was happening to her and no one can even explain in great detail what the brain disorder does to a person. Of course now we are educated and well-informed that Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive and fatal, the most common form of dementia and, has no current cure.
It is a good thing that there are some organizations that aim to raise the awareness of people and also help fight against Alzheimer. Now, the Alzheimer's Memory Walk association is creating the nation's largest event which aims to raise awareness and funds that will be used for Alzheimer care, support and research.
The event also calls on volunteers of all ages to become advocates of the fight against Alzheimer's. So what is a typical Alzheimer's Memory Walk? It is a 2-3 mile walk that will be carried out on a weekend morning in the fall in more than 600 communities. Want to help out? Then stand and let us walk with a purpose….let us make a walk to remember.

The real war outside Playstation goes to Congo, Africa

What has the world been up to? War in video games has already surfaced outside the microchips and memory box of Playstation 2. War has been brought to the Democratic Republic of Congo and it's all because of Coltan.

Coltan is a rare unrefined metallic ore which is necessary in the manufacturing of Sony's Playstation 2 game console and other electronic devices including cell phones and computers. Its name is derived from the contraction of columbium-tantalite, the scientific nomenclature.

It has ignited and heated up a brutal conflict in Africa specifically in Congo. Why Congo? The eastern part of the country holds 80 percent of the world’s reserves of Coltan. It is a heat-resistant mineral ore widely used in cellular phones, laptop computers and video games.

There are reports that prisoners-of-war and even children are forced to work in the mines caused by the increasing demand for Coltan. It has even incited Rwandan military groups and western mining companies to ransack hundreds of millions of dollars worth of the rare metal.

Oona King, an ex-British Parliament Member, said that kids in Europe and America kill imaginary aliens in their living rooms while kids in Congo were being sent down mines to die.

Having sold through over 140 million units, Playstation 2 indeed is the current best-selling video game console of all-time. But is it worth the buy when you know that there are kids in other part of the world that suffers while you enjoy?

A dark night for the Dark Knight

Batman has made every viewer’s night leaving the movie house satisfied after watching him fight the villains. Conversely, the man behind the mask and suit was making other headlines. Actor Christian Bale was reportedly arrested for the alleged assault of his mother and sister.

This time there is no Commissioner Gordon to back him up. He had spent four hours talking with authorities denying the allegations made against him. After being questioned by the London police and finding no evidence that they can charge with, the 34-year-old actor was released on bail.

It had seem like a doomsday in his career when British media described that Bale's mother and sister told police he assaulted them. The incident purportedly took place at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Sunday night which was a day before the European premiere of "The Dark Knight.".

Simon Smith, Bale’s lawyer based in a London firm Schillings, said in his statement that the actor came to the police station voluntarily. He had been cooperative all throughout and had his account in full of the events in question.

Days after "The Dark Knight" the reports spread just like fire. When the London police spokesman was asked Tuesday whether Bale had been arrested, he did not refer to him by name but just referred to Bale as the “34-year-old man”. It is a policy that they do not do not name suspects who have not been formally charged.

Digg!

Let War Games begin!

A blast from the past. Let me take you to my favorite era and let us talk about the movies of the 1980s. There are soooo many great movies that you can look for in any video rental store. Who would ever forget Ferris Bueller’s Day Off or Back to the future? How about the heartwarming story of E.T. and the exciting love story of Pretty in Pink?

I can go on and on with my list and I am certain that you all remember them and miss those classic flick movies. My personal pick : Some kind of wonderful. It starred Mary Stuart Masterson as Watts and Eric Stoltz as Keith. Aren't their names as cute as the characters they play? This classic teen comedy romance is all about two friends discovering their feelings for each other which goes beyond friendship. I just find the movie and the characters irresistible.

Incidentally, the 1983 sci-fi thriller movie entitled WarGames is celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary event which will be played today in select theaters nationwide. The story is about David finding himself caught between the real world and gamelandia. The young man is a hacker and he discovered a back door into a military central computer which started it all.

Don’t miss out on this one because the films will only roll in the big screen for only a night. Special features like never-before-seen interviews with film creators, cast and crew will be seen. Viewers will also get the chance to have a sneak peak of the making of the sequel which is entitled “WarGames : The Dead Code”.

Some kind of wonderful

I fell in love with the story. Keith and Watts are both lovely names and how I wish I can use them for my baby. The story tells us something about the life of being a teenager. I guess I could associate myself with Watts' character. I was a little boyish back then but not really tomboyish. I wore shorts instead of skirt, played basketball and volleyball. I was into Karate although most of my friends are girls. I guess I like to show people how tough I am and that no one can belittle us. It has become a realization to me that when you are in your teens, the physical looks matter more than the inside. Another thing that I've come to grasp is the concept of appreciating the one you love in the brink of losing them. It is only when our innermost feelings come into fire when the situation is already hurting you. When you feel that short stabbing pain, pinch in the heart and a fiery pang of jealousy it will surely hit you hard and hopefully wake you up. Whenever I watch the movie, I always feel like I am watching it for the first time. I can watch it again and again but I don't wanna feel the real deal again.

My Victory hair story

Being sexy is feeling confident about your self therefore being sexy is just a state of mind. Having the right attitude gets you to achieve Victory hair. No matter what shape you are in or what skin color you possess, it really doesn’t matter. As long as you know how to carry yourself especially in a conversation, you can win the guy you are eyeing for. It may sound alien to most of the readers but Victory hair is an everyday word for almost everyone. It simply means having a smart and fun guy meet a sassy and brave chic. Their personalities jive and they get along very well. That is one Victory hair.

Flirting is part of hooking someone for a constant date and eventually having a long-time partner. I remember my long-time first love which was way back in high school. I believe the actions that I made were enough to get his attention thus achieve my own sweet Victory Hair. Flirting within the normal ways and means of it was beyond me. At an early age, I took it upon myself to outshone other girls by topping his Economics class. I also joined an extra-curricular activity which he headed just to make sure that I would spend more time with him. I also tried to make friends with the registrar personnel so I can get hold of his CV. I studied everything about him, his preferences his dreams and other details that are beyond the teacher-student knowledge. On special occasions, I bought him a gift with all the allowances I have saved. I left him a rose on his table to remind him of me. We didn't make it together but I was certain that he will always remember me for the rest of his life. My own Victory hair!

How about you? What is your Victory hair story? If you don’t have one, then you can practice your unhidden skills by playing the Extreme Style by VO5 Ultimate Flirting Championship game.

Nice to see old friends

Old friends get together on special occasions. It was Zaza's wedding. Got the chance to see and catch up with Happy. More so, I was brought back to memory lane....
On our way to the Cathedral, we passed by Metropolitan theater...high school days...specifically the West Side Story days. The place is the product of our after-school, and weekend practices of acting, singing and dancing. It was one of the coolest and memorable days ...too memorable.
Next pit stop - Intramuros...Tent City...Youth day...YFC days...now a golf course. And then there was Fort Santiago...SFC...where we had a bonding trip. Getting lost in the midst of the old houses, kalesa, pebble roads and the katipuneros look-alike...Archbishop's place...I remember when I was preparing for my wedding. Went there to authenticate my baptismal records. I also remembered the night when we had our post-thesis party. Happy, Zaza, Tina and Mike (my thesis mates) making it with the the study of "Philippines 2010 vs. Malaysia's 2020 vision"or something like that.
Then saw the Pier...Ormoc days. That's where it all started...but that's another story.
The ceremony was a-ok. Even when we're out in college, we still manage to have some bloopers. Oh, when you are with Happy, you'll never run out of funny stuffs. The reception was @ Manila Hotel. The theme was unique and so is the way they have prepared everything. Served on the table is choco pretzels and raisinets while the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra Band plays jazz music to keep the guests company. Food is superb. I am not really a big fan of hotel foods or fine dining but this one I gotta say my taste buds was really satisfied. At first, I thought it was goin' to end up like the same old fancy tasteless food because of the marinated salmon with vegetable terrine. Then this was followed by the creamy zucchini and spinach with smoked shrimp and red pepper foam ...it's terrific! Love it. After which, we were served with Thousand Leaves Pastry...thought it was salad but it was more like chicken ala king only better. And then the main course....Australian Beef tenderloin in merlot garlic sauce served with dauphine potato and young veggies. Rating : Yummylicious. I'd say overall it was superb! Just saying that I had a great afternoon that day.

Want to find out if you are financially fit?

When one wants to know if a person is physically fit, you subject that person to a series of tests in a clinic or hospital. The results will indicate if there are some abnormalities or if you are physically sound and healthy. The interpretation of the results will come from a physician or doctor. How about finding out if a person is mentally fit? There is also a way to determine if an individual is in their right state of mind. You make them take a psychological test or you ask them to go to a psychiatrist. Such tests conclude if a person is physically or mentally fit. But wait, is it possible to distinguish if a person is financially fit? Is there such a test that will yield results and be interpreted to be able to establish is one is financially sound or able? Sometimes impossible is almost always possible already in this advance world. People can create things that have been a constant concern of the majority. Take for instance the BillsIQ. It is a tool that will lead people in finding out for themselves their own financial health whether they are in the right track or they just simply need help. Sometimes when it comes to money, we just listen to our own wants and not what we need, the outcome of which is an outright financial downfall. The BillsIQ in layman’s term aids individual in understanding easily the concept of Debt consolidation, Debt relief, Debt help and applying it in their own strategy.
I know what I am talking about because I took the test online and received an 84%B which says that I am below par as against the majority of the respondents. It didn’t give me a hard time in trying to spot out where I am doing wrong. The BillsIQ made it easier for me to discover and recognize the erroneous ways of my saving, budgeting and planning.

Reminiscing 2006

Halfway through 2006 and its been a topsy-turvy year already. How worst can things get?No one ever really knows. I don't know how I got through everything but hey the important thing is I am up and ready to move on again. I can relive the days and the moments for I can still remember how I feel then but I don't know if I can ever sleep through the nights.
Just a week ago, while on a tipsy mood, I was driving home and I rolled the windows down to feel the breeze of the air. I turned the radio on to wake my sleepy eyes and bring me back on the road. I chanced upon an old song that continuously plays in my ears. I have instantaneously memorized the lyrics for it somehow answered imperviously my thoughts....confirming the days that lies ahead of me. The song was used in a soundtrack of a movie and since curiosity got the better of me I immediately run my fingers through google the morning after. I hit the enter button and voila! there it is...I laughed to myself when I saw the title of the movie..."Staying Alive".
Oh the irony of life! You have to fall hard, head first. More than the broken bones what will hurt most is what's inside - your fragile heart. Sometimes no matter how you make things right you still end up on the other side. Soul-searching and the lines keep on hitting me. It goes "...I am finding out the hard way. It's gonna take some tears, a little bit of heartache. We are like islands in the streams, watchin' all our dreams start to fade....fadin' away."
But at the end of it all, whichever road you choose to take, you end up with only one thing...Got to move on!

Saving for the rainy days

It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark. Coming from an average-income family and experiencing that lowest point in our life, I have come to appreciate the value of saving something for the rainy days. I am the eldest in the brood of 4 and it took a heavy toll in trying to figure something out how I can pay the debts that we owe. Now that I have a family of my own, I make sure that my kids don’t suffer the same thing because it gives such a big stress physically, mentally and spiritually. I will try my very best to impart to them the lessons that I have learned from it. Money comes by goes out so easily especially at this time when almost everything charges up.
With this in mind, I have to have someone or something to help me with when it comes to planning, budgeting and saving our earnings. Finally, I found an expert when it comes to checking out my financial health and that is the BillsIQ. For_advertiser_profile In BillsIQ, you will learn more about Debt consolidation, Debt help and, Debt relief. I’ve tried the online quiz and I got a score of 84% B. How do I stand with that score? Well it is below average compared to other gender of my age and to the whole population who responded to the quiz. So what is in it for me? How do I benefit from going to their site? First, I get to know more of myself when it comes to the finance aspect. With every question posted at me, I realize something about how I really handle our finances and start to evaluate if it’s working for us. Second, I get some suggestions and guidelines on how to correct or improve areas where I should focus on. This and more, I am sure that people will find it very informative and helpful in their everyday lives.

To the best fathers in the world

HR Summit. Felt like I've wasted my day. Unlike the previous learning sessions, today wasn't that interesting. Well okay I've learned something but not that significant I guess. Blue ocean strategy. Basically, its excellence rests on four key components : Create, raise, reduce and eliminate.
Towards the end of the day, I was already bored, sleepy and freezing on my chair. Until Atty. Alexander Lacson stood on the podium and started giving his speech (well it seemed like a speech to me because he sounded like he was giving his privilege speech in Batasang Pambansa). He is the author of the "12 little things every filipino can do to help our country". Incidentally, he cited in his book Malcolm Gladwell's "Tipping Point" which was also emphasized earlier in a forum by Maria Rezza, the head of ABS-CBN's news and current affairs. Tipping point is essentially saying that small deeds can spur revolutions in societies.
Anyway, Lacson also shared Haydee Yorac's 2 favorite principles. (Yorac was his professor for 2 sems when he was still taking up law in UP Diliman). My then sleeping brain was awakened when he uttered "De un buen padre de familia" which means "A good father of a family". Its a principle in family law. With that I was as if brought down to memory lane. The training hall suddenly turned into the 4 walls of a classroom. I am back in my college days - a day of my 3-unit International Law. The topic made me reminisced those days. However, as Lacson tried to explain further my mind shifted to something or rather to someone else. He tried to expound more by saying that the 2nd principle simply states that a good father is someone who legally and morally provides for the needs of his family. If food is insufficient, he sees to it that his chldren and wife gets to eat first. A good father is someone who makes sure that at the end of the day each and every member of the family is safe and has a place to sleep in. Of course, 2 men came instantly to my mind. I may not often say it but I have been always grateful for the 2 good fathers in my life. I know that they have sacrificed a lot of their needs and wants just to make sure that their children gets the best of everything. To my dad and hon - we love you very much!!!

My own universe

A 2008 Ms. Universe contestant said that she wouldn’t change a thing in her life. Of course she’d say that having lived only half my years. She’s a baby and I’m old with a view wrought by living with consequences.

I’d change a couple of things in my life. Won’t be crabby no matter how much I can blame it on the manggang hilaw my mother used to crave pregnant with me. Won’t shilly-shally in college but stick to good old reliable pre-law. Will never learn how to smoke and master the habit so much that I now can tell the difference between Winston Select and local Winston. Won’t fall for a guy with a “My girlfriend got her way with me!” dashboard decal. Just a couple of things I’d change.

Check out your flirting meter

Undoubtedly, new wave and trendy fashion have been greatly influenced by the 1980s era. I personally have witness what it has brought upon by our generation. Those were my high school days and this day back in time will always be a special part in my life. One of the reasons is that this is the stage where I began to realize and recognize the transition from being a girl to becoming a woman. This transition had not been a walk in the park for me. I belonged to a group and that has brought pressure on the phase that I am going through. Another challenge that I faced was when I fall for my professor. I seemed to have a preference for much older guys and he became my first love. First things first, how do I get his attention? I have never thought that falling for the guy would mean making the first move. And because this was the first real hardcore first serious love (or so I thought), I got aggressive. I flirted with him in my own unique way. I then discovered the other side of me which I never thought I could do. It was what I considered a victory hair for me. One might ask, what do I mean by Victory hair? Is it some fashion or style that you do with your hair? I go beyond that simple meaning. For me, it is something that you do out of the extraordinary by stretching your limits or going out of your comfort zone and making the best of what is left of you. This is what I did for him. I even remember attempting to utter one mushy lame and simple line for him. I rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed in saying: “Am I dead, angel? ‘Cause this must be heaven!”. But my tongue just got tied up when I found the time to tell him. Then I also realized that it's a good thing that I didn't have the courage to say it because after all it is the worst pick-up line that I've thought of.

Today, there are more ways that will help a newbie make their own moves. I guess this generation is really lucky with all the technological advancement like the internet. I am talking about Extreme Style by VO5's Ultimate Flirting Championship game. Here, you can practice your flirting skills without getting slapped at or be humiliated. You will learn some moves and some pick-up lines as you play along. Isn’t that great? It is like a simulation of the pre-dating thing without going to the hassle of being really in a bar or being set-up in a blind date. This is so convenient, practical and very informative game. Try it out and find out for yourself your flirting meter!

Our Princess

She’s ten and she’s who I want to be when I grow up.

She was brought up confident of being the center of 5 adults’ universe. She got everything we thought she needed, and sometimes, what we imagined she wanted. She didn’t have to do a single thing that a grown up could do. We watched over her health like a hawk and shielded her heart from being scarred by a naturally nasty world. She was called Princess, Baby and Angel. She was likely to grow up spoiled.

But our Princess remained kind. She never criticized. Never hurt our feelings on purpose. Never hurt the dog’s feelings on purpose. Didn’t throw tantrums inside stores, didn’t demand things, understood that sometimes money’s hard to come by. Sits through someone else’s TV show when Barbie’s on the other channel. She sees that other kids have much less and readily gives up her most favorite chocolate bar. No prodding needed. Our Angel was kind.

She’s only ten and I want to be exactly like her.

Education the best way to save!

Before we got married, we thought of having four children – two girls and two boys. Those were the days. Now that times are getting tougher, we planned of having at the most two kids but the heaven didn’t agree and gave us another child. Today, many would agree with me that having two children is more than enough in raising a family. Financially speaking, it is impractical to raise more than two because of the current worldwide economic situation that we are experiencing.

As parents we would want to give all the best to our children and sometimes the best is also tantamount to being financially well-off. Giving your children quality time is never a question in raising a happy and successful kid. However, we also have to be reminded that money is as important in providing them their basic needs such as shelter, clothing, food, water and a healthy and safe environment.

How do we secure their future? The only way to do this is to save. Saving and budgeting your expenses may come in different forms. My husband and I have agreed to do something about our lives with less complication and stress. First, we talk about what things are to be prioritized so that we will be guided by these priorities. Second, we allot something for the “just-in-case-of-emergencies-expenses”. Third, we educate our children and household helpers on how to save on electric and water expenses. Information campaign in the family is also big help in trying to educate and make others aware of how they can contribute in saving money. As an example, you tell them that there should be a schedule in the household chores to save the electricity and water meter running.

Another way to help you from saving and budgeting is to understand your overall financial health and find ways to improve your financial status. How do you do that? There is a way to know your financial status simply by answering the BillsIQ online. This is for free! This way you will know your current financial status and it will also give you tips on how to avoid the financial pitfalls. People will benefit from knowing what their bills IQ score is. It will also be an opportunity to know all about Debt consolidation, Debt relief, Debt help and how to Consolidate debt and stay away from it. Getting the right information helps you save a penny a day!

The future is in your hands!

Retirement already awaits us as we go down two more years. I guess this is one topic that we have been trying to avoid to discuss even in private conversations. As early as now, many of us are trying to squeeze our minds on computing how much we would earn with our retirement pay given a conservative value. Future is always as hazy as it seemed like for almost all of us. For most of my peers here, I think plans are something scary and unstable. As an outsider would hear us when asked about life after 2010, instantaneously they would hear the phrase “Come what may”.

Then again we have to think twice about considering a plan with the way things are happening around us. Bills are piling up and prices of basic commodities are shooting up while there our income languishes. In order to survive and keep up with the world, we think of ways on how to raise our heads with this kind of problem that has been trying to drown us. Luckily, I found a guide that can help me address my plight. For_opportunities They call it the BillsIQ. It is a free financial health check-up which talks about Debt consolidation, how to have a Debt relief by seeking Debt help. I took the free quiz online and it gave me instant results which I can refer to and compare with other baseline data. I got 84% B which when compared with the rest of the population is below average for my age. It doesn’t just give you raw data but it also gives you personal tips and advices which are normally being billed by consultants.

One of those tips that stuck in my mind is on how to save up. Now that retirement is nearing, I must reevaluate my priorities and think of a good plan not only for myself but also for my family. It is suggested that I should document whatever plans I have so that I will have a guide on what and where to spend my retirement pay. It is a good start for moving on to facing 2010. I will have those handy tips in mind wherever I go so I can be debt-free and financially healthy. It is a good thing to know that there are institutions that are ready to help people understand what their financial status and capabilities are.

Barneymania

What's with Barney?! I don't even know the gender of this purple dinosaur. My 6-year old daughter was an avid fan of Barney before. Way back when she was just starting to appreciate movies other than commercials, I swear I was about to curse Barney. Why? It has invaded our viewing system. From the moment my daughter opened her eyes until yawn comes to her, Barney is on TV - singing, dancing and acting. The whole household memorized every bit of the lines and every song and dance numbers there are. But of course, how could I get mad with Barney when I saw that my daughter enjoyed watching the show. Her eyes would glow every time she would hear the word Barney or she would get so sweeter every time she hears the all-time song associated with Barney "I love you, You love me. We're best friends like friends should be. With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you. won't you say you love me too?" She gets teary eyed and would give us a kiss a big hug. I then realized that it has a big impact on her and that she also learned a lot of things while she was growing up especially good manners. Now that my 1-year old daughter would take my hand every morning, flashes her cutest smile and utter "Barney". I already know that she is asking me to play a CD of Barney. Even though she appreciated "Dora" first, it was Barney who can make her glued to the TV like her older sister. I read somewhere that there was a scientific study that the combination of the purple dinosaur have been a very attractive figure for children. It's like kids are being hypnotized when they see Barney. I guess my kids are just one of the living proof that this study is conclusive.

What's your flirting style?

Sensuality is this week’s theme of the AcaDreamians. I was watching their workshop and was eager to know how some of my favorite singers would deliver their performance in a sensual way. I have learned through one of the mentors (Media Performance mentor) that sensuality is sometimes mistaken with sexuality. The workshop taught and corrected the wrong misconception of many viewers, including me, that sensuality is equated with sexuality. According to the mentors, it comes from the root word sense meaning using every sense of your body. Knowing how to use the senses of your body in the right time at the right place with the right person at the right situation gives you a total edge among others. It is one tool that gives us more power among other living things.
For instance, I use my sense of sight, hearing and touching whenever I want a guy to notice me! A deadly combination it is and a proven master at this craft - flirting - without having to do the obvious. So how do I do that? I use my eyes to talk through the guy. My eyes move for my body and any sensational feeling that I want to convey I make sure that my eyes tell the same thing. You should give them that “look” of having enough confidence while thinking about how great you look physically even though you know you have your own flaws.
Of course, there are different styles for different gals. While some use their face to flirt, others use their hair. Oh yes their hair! Do you think you are one of those foxy ladies who can out flirt other girls? I am sure that most of us would want to find out the answer to this question. Surprise surprise

After 2 months of not visiting my OB-gyne, finally I mustered all the courage of going back again to her. I have had my annual physical and got the results so it was also one of the reasons why I felt the need to go and pay a visit to my OB. When I first saw the result, I felt a little panicky because almost all test results were abnormal. By abnormal I mean either the range are below or above the normal values. Of course, it does not only concern me but I am more worried for the health of my baby.

Luckily, my OB said that my results are still okay and that I should just continue
my vitamins. Next week, I am schedule for my ultrasound and I already requested my OB not to tell the gender. I want it to be a surprise since I already have two girls, I am wishing to have a boy this time. But if ever I deliver another baby girl, just as long as it is healthy, it'll be okay with me. SO till my due date, it will be a surprise surprise!

Not so goody

I feel bloated and I don't feel too good but I know I have to eat because my baby is kicking my tummy already. At this stage of pregnancy, I am already experiencing difficulty in breathing and I easily get tired. With just 30 seconds of standing still, my back already aches especially on that lumbar area where my scoliosis was spotted years ago.

This is my third pregnancy already and yet I always feel new about the things that I am experiencing. I just pray and hope that it will all go well and that the baby will be healthy.

Great eyewear fashion only from Zenni Optical

When I work with my desktop and my eyes are strained from the long hours of having to stare at the numbers and words in front of me, I know I have to get my reading glasses. Years before my annual physical exam, I was prescribed by the optometrist to wear a reading glass. So to stop feeling dizzy, I searched the malls and looked for a stylish reading glass that would fit me and of course something that would fit my budget.

Now, people who need to buy their eyeglasses can find stylish prescription glasses online through zennioptical.com. They have their wide arrays of frame selections that you can choose from. In zennioptical.com, you can find single vision lens, sunsensor lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens. Indeed, this is a great catch because it is not that expensive compared to other online stores. You know what they say about the eyes being the window of your soul so it is only right to give only but the best eyewear for your eyes!

Pregnant man

I was watching the news last night when I chanced upon a newsbit about a Filipino transgender who became pregnant. The world was shocked with this new development. From Tracy to Thomas, he has decided to change her life into being a man by completely changing or transforming his physical features. Though he changed his outside physique, she left her womanhood inside....her uterus. It is just so odd seeing a man with a bulging tummy not that it is extraordinary but because you know that it is carrying a creature inside.
